This full-day event at Mill House Organic Farm focused on Salad Crops giving a fresh and practical perspective on the realities of making an organic salad growing enterprise work.

Our first member event of 2026 takes place Mill House Organic Farm focusing on “Salad Crops – how challenges can be turned into workable scenarios and achievements” and giving a fresh and practical perspective on the realities of making an Organic Salad Growing enterprise work.

10am – 12.30pm: Morning Session
12.30pm – 2pm: Lunch
2pm – 4pm: Afternoon Session

Audrey and Mick have been growing and supplying organic salads to the West of Ireland and beyond since 2009. This has provided them with a world of experience in this niche area. Through a guided farm walk and open discussion, Audrey and Mick will share the systems and strategies that continue to keep their business successful.

Subjects on the table for discussion include workflow, labour, harvest, packing systems, sales models, equipment and infrastructure.

Tea and coffee will be provided and would be great if everyone could bring their own lunch and/or something to share.
