About the Farm

We are a 13.5-acre organic fruit and vegetable ‘market garden’ farm in South Kildare, owned and managed by Liam Ryan. We grow approximately 18 different crops across the year. We actively farm about 5 acres, with the rest in green manure ley. Liam is currently supported by a team of one full-time and two part-time staff. The farm also takes volunteers through Wwoof.ie all year round. We sell direct at our own farm shop every Friday from 12pm until 7pm, and at Carlow Farmers Market every Saturday from 9am – 2pm. We also buy in the best in certified organic produce from other growers in 2 Ireland and from Europe to supplement our own produce. We achieved full organic status in August 2006. We are certified by the Irish Organic Association.

Quality is extremely important to us. We believe in offering the best in local, seasonal veg through direct sales. We enjoy building strong relationships with our customers through selling direct and helping them feel connected to their food.
