UK Farm Research Trip 2025

In October, OGI, in partnership with Bord Bia, brought 16 Irish organic growers on an action-packed UK Farm Research Trip, visiting three very different organic enterprises over two days.

Read the full reports below to explore the farms, their practices and key takeaways from this immersive grower-to-grower learning exchange.

Group of Irish organic growers on OGI UK research tour at Riverford Farm

From Riverford Organic Farms’ large-scale, co-owned operations in Devon, to Abbey Home Farm’s circular, community-focused model and Tolhurst Organic Partnership—one of England’s longest-running organic vegetable farms which now includes a mature agroforestry system—the trip was full of inspiration, practical technical insights and lessons on innovation, adaptation, business models, marketing and customer engagement. Growers returned with plenty of ideas to take home.
