John McCormick established Helen’s Bay Organic in 1991, and it’s grown into an impressive 20 acres adjacent to Belfast Lough, producing over 50 varieties of organic fruit and vegetables for delivery around Belfast and beyond, with a farm shop click & collect service.

John and his team gave us a genuinely warm welcome and it was a visit that leaves you with plenty to think about — great conversations, shared knowledge and the inspiration that comes from seeing a successful organic farm up close. John was a speaker at our annual conference in Kilruddery back in November 2024, and shared the fascinating story of building his business and his life in organic horticulture.
